Maybe
Maybe I’ll leave today, maybe I’ll stay
Maybe I’ll laugh at my life’s tragedies, maybe I’ll cry
Maybe one day I’ll be forgiven, maybe I’ll be denied
So many mistakes, too many tears, too many wasted years
You tell me that I’m beautiful; you tell me that I’m kind
You make me wonder how you can be that blind
Maybe I’m nothing, maybe you’re something
Maybe I’ll drink away the pain, maybe I won’t
Maybe I’ll harden my heart; maybe you’ve made it soft
Maybe I’ll try calling you, maybe I am still afraid
So many mistakes, too many tears, too many wasted years
You tell me that I’m beautiful; you tell me that I’m kind
You make me wonder how you can be that blind
Maybe I’m nothing, maybe you’re something
Scars inside and out, don’t you know I’ve been there, too?
Your eyes, they see beyond the worst in me
I think you’re beautiful, I think you’re kind
You wonder how I can be that blind
Yet I see more clearly when I’m next to you
Maybe I’ll leave. Maybe you’ll stay
Maybe I’ll laugh at my life’s tragedies. Maybe I’ll cry with you.
Maybe I’ll be forgiven. Maybe I already do.
So many mistakes, too many tears, too many wasted years.
I make you wonder how I can be so blind.
Maybe I’m nothing. Maybe you’re something.
Maybe I’m something. Maybe we’re something together.

Leann,
I just read this, and my whole being sort of turned to mush. It is so wonderful to love someone so much…I feel like I’m on the brink of having that, too, and reading this made me all the more excited for it to come…

Maybe you ought to get someone to put music to these lines…:)
