Do you feel the weight of so many trials
Are there more dark days ahead for you
Do you wonder if you can ever smile again
Are you feeling all alone in this world
Has your sight been blurred by the pain
Don’t you know His eyes is always searching
Don’t you know His ear is always listening
Don’t you know His love is always aching
To keep you close to Him.
He’s your soul watcher, your soul provider, your God.
When mercy becomes less and grace is just a name
When dreams are empty and peace runs from sleep
When you can’t tell daylight from the darkness
When all that you want is what you can’t keep
When heartache is a state you can’t escape
Don’t you know His eye is always searching
Don’t you know His ear is always listening
Don’t you know His love is always aching
To keep you close to Him.
He’s your soul watcher, your soul provider, your God.
Come find me, Lord!
Come hear my cry, Lord!
Come love me, Lord, and keep me close to You!
Your my soul watcher, my soul provider, my God!
Do you really believe that God is concerned with any of us down here?
Yes, Rae, I do. What are you going through that makes you uncertain?
Ohhhh Leann! You got it right! He is always watching, seeing hearing and knowing every part of us. The Bible says that our names are written on His hands. When life is overwhelming I try to focus on the fact that He knows my name and is quite aware of my sorrow and pain and He longs for us to let Him hold us while we cry. Rae, I don’t know what you are going through, but just remember that God knew you in your mother’s womb and longs for you.
I’m not used to sharing especially to a blog. I feel used up and empty most of the time. I want to believe there is a God out there who really looks for me like your poem says. I meet so many people who call themselves christians and they make you want to be an atheist. I don’t think I’m an atheist, just skeptical I guess.
I do like your poem. It makes me want to feel loved like that.
Rae,
I am a believer. And yet there are times that I question as well. The wonderful thing about God, I believe, is that He is big enough and loving enough to handle my questions. He knows I have questions. Once I ask the questions, and start listening, I believe He will provide the answers. They aren’t always the answers I want to hear – but He answers.
He does love you like Leann’s poem reflects. Keep searching. You will find His love. I truly believe that.
